The year really passed by so quick it just seems like yesterday that I was celebrating the start of 2010… but yup it's 1/1/11 today!

Looking back at the past year, 2010 had been stressful… on top of the ever busy schedule of grad school, the explosive inflation here had also made me seriously think about what I am going to do with my life and how I am managing my finances. There were lots of stressful moments, with endless piles of work to be done, and sometimes I felt that I've became more irritable and aloof. Nevertheless, I have grown up in the process, and have started to settle in to the hectic lifestyle that I'm having now.

We had a nice gathering last night to celebrate the end of 2010. We played this funky Death Note game and I got to be Kira… I still didn't manage to grasp it fully but it was really fun! Unlike previous years, I counted down to 2011 with my parents because today is also Hoshi Papa's birthday! He has crossed the mark to officially enjoy perks and privileges that comes with his age. We didn't really have a big bash for him, but there was some good karaoke (from Hoshi Mama), some good food (from yours truly), and some good cake (from the other half) to mark the occasion . I hope that he'll stay healthy and active for a couple more decades.

With the new year there are always new year's resolutions… Has everyone made theirs already? For me, I hope to be able to put in more time and effort into my research this year, communicate better with my family and friends even though I might not have ample time for gatherings, manage my money and time better, be more patient again with things and treat my other half nicer (thanks for sticking by patiently during the past year).

On the cosplay front I have done 10 new cosplays in 2010… wonder if I can do 11 in 2011? I think it might be on the contrary as my focus this year is on grad school (major milestone exam that I have to get pass this summer!), but I still hope to be able to do a few projects here and there when I can manage. And not to mention I hope to be able to keep in touch with the cosplay gang like in past years too!
